This hotel has so much character especially in a place full of soulless mega resorts. It’s equestrian / cowboy themed and you feel like you are having a unique Hawaii experience when staying here. The rooms are well appointed and fit the theme with wooden furniture and horse-themed decor. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating. We used the beach towels, chairs and hospitality shower during our stay, which was very convenient. There was also live music one night we were there and it was perfect to accompany a drink at the bar. It’s located close to a few more local beach which was perfect, and just our speed. That being said, it’s easy to walk into Waikiki or to Ala Moana. There are a few coffee shops and an ABC store nearby too.

The hotel staff is super friendly. This is very important for me and my husband personally. We are very glad to meet these wonderful people. The location of the hotel is simply excellent, a 15-minute walk to the beach. There is parking at the hotel. On the ground floor there is a cafe-bar that makes wonderful cocktails and also offers breakfast sandwiches. Also, one evening there was live music. All our requests were fulfilled. And we are very glad that we chose this unique local hotel rather than a chain hotel.

The room was very comfortable, especially the beds and the bathroom. Both were very clean as well. The hotel is located less than a five-minute walk to Ala Moana shopping center and the beach park, which was great. There was also an ABC store and a McDonald's nearby. The front desk staff was exceptional! Kollett and Lynette were so friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed chatting with them! Check-in was quick, as was check-out.

The position was great for car rental and public transport with CBD so handy for a stroll. The bed was the most comfortable on our trip to the two islands we visited. What really impressed was the atmosphere created by the helpful staff and being helped manage bags up the entry steps from the roadway to lobby by a gentleman we later found out was the owner.

AMAZING, last OHANA[family owned] hotel in Oahu. HOT water, COMFY beds, CLEAN ROOMS AMAZING. STAFF, wonderfully welcoming. EXACTLY what I expected as a Kanaka Ole(oli) coming back home. The MANA[spirit of aloha[love] felt and shared. SO happy THEY are still holding on; providing an OHANA STYLE living for vacationers.
